Join us in the cosy and relaxed environment of The Hut for one of our day or half-day studio workshops.
Workshops include:
Block printing - design and print your own tea towels, cushions, scarves etc.
Lino printing - create and cut your own design – Christmas cards, artist prints etc - then use the press to print it.
BOOKABLE HALF-DAY PRINTING BLOCK PRINTING WORKSHOPS (BEGINNERS):
To suit everyone. Anna will take you through the whole process, with design inspiration, guidance on how to plan your designs and time to play and practice. There is a succulent range of colours, hand-mixed by us; and a range of blocks from traditional Indian wood blocks to purpose-made 3-D printed shapes.
Tea towel / tote bag block printing
Spend a morning or afternoon creating your designs and hand printing them onto fabric items. You will take away a unique gift or a little joy for yourself.
All materials are provided to create one finished item, but once you've got into the swing, additional items to print can be purchased.

Cushion printing
Create your own unique cushion cover, with printing blocks and colours to suit any home decoration projects. Cushion covers and pad provided.

BOOKABLE FULL-DAY WORKSHOPS:
Lino-cut your own artist print to frame up
Develop your design ideas with Anna and discover how to make the most of lino printing. Print out 2 or 3 of your own artworks on quality card or mulberry paper.
Lino-cut Christmas Cards
Create your very own cards to send to friends and family this year. Carve your design onto a card sized piece of lino before inking and printing a run of Christmas cards. You should be able to print out 20 cards, but are welcome back to print more. All materials will be provided, just bring along some festive ideas.

Below are a selection of photos from a block printing workshop. This form of printing uses wooden blocks to hand print patterns, in this case onto cushions. Four lovely ladies came for an afternoon to learn a new skill and filled The Hut with happily creating people. It was such a joy to watch individuals creative approach, each design was so different and unique. From creating soft tonal meadows, intricate layers of colours and pattern, bold boarders and seed heads to beautifully positioned and coloured chickens. A wonderful afternoon and, from the feedback, they enjoyed it as much as I did.
